i have just started taking Zyban to help me stop smoking. Can anyone tell me what to expect?
i have heard many horror stories but also been told many good points too, i’d like to hear from people who have used Zyban and what their experiences where, good and bad. what can i really expect?
oh my god – dont take it. get patches. i took it about 4 yrs ago and went mental. i cried everyday, argued with everyone and had a punch up with my own sister, it made me nuts and i had no control over it. also when i started taking 2 a day it made my breathing really hard and when i was falling asleep i would wake up and feel like my heart was stopping. not good. and it didnt make me give up smoking. i finally gave up 2 yrs ago with nothing but willpower. Zyban is bad and i cant beleive it hasn’t been banned. take extreme care. and good luck giving up smoking.

Anybody given up smoking using Zyban.?
I’ve just started using Zyban to help give up smoking, still on the 1 tablet, 4 days before going onto 2, and I know it takes a while for it to get into my system and will power does still play a major part, but I’m just wondering if there was anybody out there who was a heavy smoker and found that Zyban really was affective. Re. Manti R, Yes I do live in UK, and if your looking for answers regarding Zyban and smoking, just type “Zyban” in the Search for questions box and there’s loads of answers there. Wish I did that 1st now before posting this question to be honest!! 
but it’l be nice to get up-to-date answer’s I suppose.
i’ve not tried zyban but i’m on champix (chantrix in usa ) and they’re great. i smoked 30 a day for 20 years. doc said to start taking pills while still smoking and pick a quit date on the 2nd week. i stopped after 4 days and haven’t had a smoke for over a month. when i have a drink at the weekend i smoked non stop but now i don’t even think about it. i know you’re asking about zyban but if they don’t work try these. there are a few different side effects but the only one i get is vivid dreams. luckily my dreams are all good, in fact i’m sometimes annoyed when i wake up from one. i’ve still got 5 weeks to go of a 12 week course but already i can see myself never smoking again.
