Young Straight Edge Adults?
I’m 20 years old and I have never smoked or drank in my entire life. I work in a heavy drug environment. Everyone smokes weed and some of my closest friends get drunk every weekend. They ask my boyfriend and I if we want to go to parties where we know smoking and heavy drinking will be going on. My boyfriend and I always decline and because of that we are constantly being looked down on. I want to know how other young adults deal with this and how you keep yourself strong on a daily basis. Thank you all for your answers.
I am 17 years old and I am also straight edge. I will occasionally have a few sips of some drinks here and there, but not much. For example, at a wedding the other day, I had a tiny glass of champagne. White wine is OK for a few sips as well. Otherwise that, I don’t do much more. I do not smoke nor have I ever tried drugs. I mostly hang out with people who are also straight edge. I do happen to have a couple of friends who do smoke and drink, but I just hang out with them when I know they aren’t going to be getting trashed. I like going to parties, but I don’t go to those crazy-a** ones where people are puking everywhere. It’s just not fun for me. If someone is annoying me for not drinking/smoking/doing drugs, I just tell them to go to hell. I don’t put up with that. It is my decision and they should respect it. If they don’t like it, then so be it. I’m happy to be healthy, and I know I still will be 20 years from now…and they won’t.
I knew someone who died from too many drugs and booze. His heart exploded one day, just out of nowhere while he was napping. I guess his body couldn’t take it, even though he was only 24 years old. It was a horrifying experience, and a big reason why I choose to be straight edge.

3) Drinking alcohols and smoking to large extents decreases the ability to have a strong erection in men. So as far as possible reduce your drinking habits and cut down on smoking.
4) Nervousness can also cause erectile dysfunction. So the best way to avoid this situation is to ignore having sex with your partner until you begin to know her well and are comfortable spending time in her company.
5) There are certain medications that help both younger and older men suffering from impotence. Even you could try using it.
