Does anyone feel as if they are going to die from all the side effects of chantix like I do?

I am on day 5 and feel absolutely rotten. I continuously have headaches, anxiety, gas, muscle weakness, strangest dreams, nightsweats, thirstiness, insomnia, nausea, etc. I am hanging in there because I have some hope that the side effects may go away. Do they? Yes I know it is better than continuing smoking. Should I decrease dosage? Is it ok to take Xanax along with Chantix? Somebody has to know these answers. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.
To clarify, I am not taking Xanax. I was curious if it would help calm my anxiety and whether or not the two were mixable. All I wanted to know was whether or not anyone else was having so many side effects like I am? Unfortunately it appears that I am the one in the million that would have a reaction to the medication like I am experiencing. Yesterday was my last dose since I can’t seem to get any feedback from anyone.
