Question about Youth smoking in China. Please Help!?
I’m a little bit stumped for this university research presentation…
China has a lower smoking rate than Canada and the USA, with only 5.5% of youth aged 13-15 are users of tobacco.
What’s the reason for this?
That is, why is the smoking rate for youth in China lower when the adult smoking rate is very high?
Also if you know, how strict is the communist government on tobacco regulations when it comes to minors?

The positive benefits of quit smoking activities can’t be overstated. For us to understanding why this is so, it’s necessary we first understanding how truly insidious and addictive cigarettes can be and also why they have such a hold on the collective public conscious.
The helpful benefits of quit smoking actions on the part of people who quit smoking appear almost immediately. But cigarettes themselves — combined with the marketing efforts of cigarette companies – make it hard for these benefits to become widely known in some parts of the world. Europe and North America, in particular, are light years ahead in terms of understanding the benefits of quit smoking efforts.
However, in many parts of Africa, Eastern Europe and Russia — and most of all, in China – smoking is looked upon as nothing unusual or something to get in an uproar about. This is not true among those countries’ health organizations, but cigarette companies have done their work well among the general populations, and the benefits of quit smoking programs and other activities is hardly known at all.
Combine this fact with the understanding that the nicotine in a cigarette is among the most addictive chemicals known to man, and you have a recipe for extreme difficulty in spreading the word about the healthful benefits of quit smoking programs, for one thing. People who are hooked on smoking may understand on an intellectual level how bad for them cigarettes are. Unfortunately, they find themselves unable to put the things down for any length of time and therefore tend to ignore any negative message about them. Electronics Cigarettes
Studies show that for some people, quitting smoking can be as hard for them as quitting opiate use can be for other addicts. The main difference, though, is that cigarette smoking is an accepted social activity which doesn’t turn people into walking zombies out in search of their next nicotine fix, unlike what opiate addiction can lead to. This is yet another reason why the health-improving benefits of quit smoking activities have such a hard time gaining a foothold in much of the world’s collective consciousness.
What, then, can organizations and governments who care about getting the fact of the benefits of quit smoking efforts out to susceptible populations do to level the playing field? For starters, stopping people from wanting to try out smoking in the first place should be the central core in any anti-smoking program.
After all, if everybody born tomorrow and every day thereafter never tried cigarettes, within two generations the smoking rate would be extremely low. Another generation after that, and there’d be almost nobody alive who knew what was like to have once had the smell of cigarette smoke in their nostrils or on their clothing. And all of this can occur if the benefits of quit smoking activities can be instilled in the minds of people as thoroughly as possible.
In the end, the fate of almost every public health effort aimed at increasing the possibility of a healthy lifespan in people depends upon preventing a harmful activity from being tried in the first place. It also depends upon the ability of education to deliver a message about the positive benefits of quit smoking activities. And this message should be spread as far and wide as possible in order to overcome the fog of confusion about smoking which exists in many parts of the world. What nut can be substituted for raw almonds?
Ridiculously so, if you all have not heard, raw almonds are now illegal in the USA. It is fine to smoke and do drugs and drink but Raw almonds MIGHT make someone sick so Americans are not allowed freedom of choice anymore. At any rate, with now either heat or chemical pasteurization (no way of knowing how it is pasteurized without calling the company), what can be used as a replacement for raw almonds?
I don’t know what could be used as a replacement, but I know there is a petition out there you can sign. at least you could have a small voice…
