How do I use apple juice for a very mild marinde on BBQ ribs?

I would like to smoke 2 slabs of pork ribs, but can not use spices for health reasons. So, how much apple juice? And how long to marinade

i dont use apple juice to marinate my ribs i use it as a basting liquid. I put apple cider or juice in a spray bottle and spray the juice onto the ribs toward the end of the smoking period. it takes about 6 hours to properly smoke ribs. you can use a little salt pepper and fresh garlic for a rub. I have never heard of anyone who can not use spices on their foods. as a nursing student im interested.
