whats does a harley xl 1200 custom go i found one for sale with all chorme out motor, back rest, slip on windshield, crash bar, slip on pipes, kayain hand grips front and rear foot pegs and shift knob, tank bra, head bolt covers, axel covers, belt cover kit, smoke lense covers, also comes with the sporster bolt on sadle bags by harley.

An ’03 is the last of the rigid mount Sportsters. They are not nearly as nice as the ’04 and later. All you have to do is look on completed auctions on ebay to know that $6,500 is just about $2,000 more than that bike is worth. You can do even better than that if you keep your eyes open. My ’05 Roadster sat unsold most of the summer of ’07 at $7,000. It sat for another month at $6500. I finally sold it for $5,500 and even then, nobody was beating down my door to get it.
I should have never sold that bike. It was one of the nicest machines I have ever owned, and I took a beating on it financially.
I will tell you this: I think the 1200 Sportster is a great machine. I think the Roadster is better than the Custom, but that is just a preference. There is nothing wrong with a Custom.
I just think you are paying A LOT more than that bike is worth.
I wouldn’t pay a dime over $5,000 for it, and I would feel way better at $4,500.

Bill of sale used golf cart question?
We bought a used golf cart today for 3500.00.
Test drove it yesterday, and it was fine.
The bill of sale that the seller typed up states ‘as is’ and told us that there was nothing wrong with it….(we wrote a check)
After driving it for a couple of hours today, the thing was smoking so bad from the tail pipe that I’m surprised that birds were not falling from the trees.
Husband tried calling the guy and wouldnt ya know it he wont answer or call us back. So…..husband has now loaded the thing up and is taking it to the guys house, (as I type). We plan to put a stop payment on the check in the morning.
Are we outta luck?

It’s like buying a used car. As-is…no warranty. I expect the bill of sale says as-is also. It sounds like he may have “seen you coming”. Unfortunate. I suppose you could put a stop payment on the check but I would be willing to bet he didn’t answer because he was at the bank…cashing it.
