Are they ever going to ban smoking in casinos?
Almost every time I go into a casino and play, I usually do this on weeknights and during the later hours when it’s not that busy because I don’t smoke and I don’t enjoy sitting down at those machines playing when the person next to me or two seats down is smoking. They have a non-smoking section, but it’s tiny and it’s a joke, they don’t have the machines I usually want to play.
Not only is secondhand smoke harmful, but it’s also nasty. Even if it wasn’t harmful, I still wouldn’t enjoy being around it because it’s nasty and smelly.
So are they ever gonna make them or at least half the entire casino smoke-free like a restaurant, or what? BTW, I play at the riverboats in the Indiana/Illinois area. Las Vegas is overrated and not as generally customer-friendly as the riverboats here, except for that damn secondhand smoke.
On a side note, I know more about the slots than those casino managers.
Most of Atlantic City is smoke free now.

how does my workplace get away with smoking in the office?
i thought that it was againest the law, i love my job and my company is huge so i dont know how they get away with it. The county that i live in just passed a smoking ban for restaurants, bars, and like outside of hospitals and what not. I dont know if it will effect my work even bc im pretty sure that its illgal to smoke in a workplace right now.

You would have to find out about the law first.
Ring the dept of health, but do not draw attention to yourself as you may find yourself out of work.
Some work places will cater to the smokers, normally create smoking zones.
In my last work place, a large railway workshop we were the opposite where you could smoke almost everywhere.
Exclusions were 2 smoko rooms, most of the offices and the office company cars (largely ignored)
