I got a tattoo 10 weeks ago and there is a large blue marking about 4″ below it. Blow-out/ink leak? HELP!
The tattoo artist does not want to take responsibility for the large blue marking below my tattoo. I got the tattoo 10 wks ago and originally thought it was a bruise. but it never went away. He used deoderant to put the tattoo transfer on (3 times cause it wasn’t going on straight), then he used some machine to clean the gun when he was breaking to smoke (which I’ve never seen before). He is trying to tell me that the blue area is MY fault and not his… that is something in MY system but I am in perfect health. I have had 7 other tattoos (2 of them only 2 wks prior) and I have never had something like this happen. Can anyone out there help? Laser is over $2200 but looks to be my only option and with the artist not willing to pay for this error I feel I am forced to take him to court. First of all, I am so sorry! That is so horrible!
I would definitely see a doctor first. Personally, I don’t know what would cause that kind of coloration. Depending on what he says, legal action may be an option, but I’d have a meeting with a lawyer first to discuss it.
Maybe read up on waivers, and to what extent the artist is protected by them, etc., keeping in mind the waiver that the artist had you agree to. At the end of the day though, laws differ from place to place, so in both matters (medical/legal), do go seek professional help.
