Does marijuana effect bodybuilding in any way?
*** I don’t smoke weed and I don’t plan to. This is just a thought.
If a bodybuilder were to smoke marijuana would it have any negative effects on the muscles? What if they don’t eat (munchies), and what if they do eat?
I think many people will answer this differently but I’ll say yes.
The effects it has had on me over the past year of smoking it (that relate to this question) are that I have put on weight from lack of exercise and the amount of food I eat when I’m high, and I’ve also lost a lot of motivation. I’ve never been all that motivated to exercise or anything but now, I find it hard to muster up the energy to walk down the street. I know that this is caused by my frequent marijuana use.
I don’t think occasional marijuana use would effect the bodybuilder at all but if he/she were to smoke it every day or nearly every day over a long period of time, yes, I believe that it would have an effect on his exercise and energy levels.

Smoking and bodybuilding?
So I recently started smoking. And before I go on, I already know the effects of it and I don’t want to hear it. I’m not at all a heavy smoker, I only smoke when I work and it’s usually only one. The question is, how big of an effect will one or two cigarettes a day have on me on bodybuilding? I’m healthy as a horse and am fairly fit. Anyone who can share any experiences it’d be greatly appreciated.
It wouldn’t really have a difference when it comes to bodybuilding. The truth is that smoking takes several years to catch up to you. If you continue to smoke, you risk problems with not only the lungs but the heart as well. Of course the longer you do it, the bigger the risk.
