Can anyone tell me where I can get a picture of smoker’s placenta?

I just recently found out that a woman who smokes during pregnancy actually alters the look of the placenta. When the doctor delivers your baby, they can actually tell by your afterbirth whether or not you smoked during pregnancy, by the color and darkness, hardness of the placenta. I want a picture of this for my health class!

I am not sure where you can get a picture, but I am a nurse and I know for a fact that a smoker’s placenta does look different. Also, the umbilical cord of a person who smokes is much smaller in diameter than one of a non smoker. The baby does not get a good blood and nutrient supply and this is why many babies born to smokers are low birth weight.
Do not listen to those who say it makes no difference they are just trying to justify the abuse to their fetus.

Internal hemmroids are usually not very painful and do not really raise any fear. However, when they bleed, they are called internal bleeding hemmroids. Although not very painful, they are a justification for fear due to the mess that they cause and also the possibility of blood loss.

Hemmroids at the anus opening are known as external hemmroids.

When hemmroids become inflamed very badly, they are referred to asthrombosed hemmroids. Thrombosed hemmroids occur both internally and externally. Both are excruciatingly  painful.

The reasons for Hemmroids
They are caused by many factors.
Some are:
• Pregnancy
• Too much alcohol or caffeine
• Heavy Lifting
• Obesity
• Lack of exercise.
•       Smoking

I need to know whether or not smoking marijuana a a teen will affect any kind of fetal development when I actually decide to start a family. We looked at horrible pictures of things that have happened to babies because of pot, like no arm or leg development, and I don’t want to endanger my future children or their children in any way…it’s supposedly hereditary. If someone smokes they can have mutated reproductive cells that can be passed down. True? Yes or no? I researched it but all i could find was effects of smoking during pregnancy, which is not my question. help, please and thanks :]

Those pictures and defomities may have occured because of drugs, but I can tell you that pot does not produce flipper babies. While smoking pot may or may not be something that is recommended, it will not effect your babies development in the future if you so choose to have one. Infact, the effects of pot during pregnancy are not nearly as bad as the effects of cigarette smoking or alchohol during pregnancy. What happens is that there is a risk for a low birth rate and possible attention disorders later on in life. There is talk about ‘withdrawl’, but there’s no such thing as marajuana withdrawl. So, don’t smoke pot while pregnant, but jeez, they must really be putting kids through a brain washing scare fest to be showing you pictures like that. Anyway, to answer your question, if you don’t smoke very often (and most pot smokers don’t) you’ll be fine. If you start smoking pot daily, your fertility may be at risk. Enjoy!
