How much does smoking really harm you?
I have been smoking for about a year now and by smoking i mean 3-4 on a normal day. 6-12 if i am out parting. The reason i ask this is because i can see the danger in smoking if i was smoking 1-3 packs a day but the fact that i do not smoke that much i don’t think that much damage is being done to my health.
Yes i realize smoking is a bad habit so i do not want any quit smoking comments.
also please list websites that are filled with stats and and other things on smoking.

Safety is always key and smoke detectors are designed in a way to prepare your loved ones for possible evacuation that is safe and quick. You might be tempted to salvage some of your belongings but always guarantee the safety of your family as well as yourself. Every second spent in a blazing house will make it more dangerous for you especially if you have toddlers in tow. Please help…i need to stop someone from smoking!?
My dad started smoking 30 years ago.. and everyone knows how bad smoking is.. he tried to stop once but it seemed like he forgot about it. Every time i try talking to him he changes the subject but i really really really want him to stop ..
The other thing is my older brother, 22, smokes too.. i think he started 5 years ago not sure..but he’s a really heavy smoker and smokes all the time even when I’m with him in the car. It doesn’t seem like he’s willing to stop and keeps telling me that he doesn’t care about the danger of smoking and stop giving this bs facts..”I don’t care!”
I hate this and really want them both to get over this … seriously, it’s annoying.

There’s a hundred ways to tell someone to quit smoking, but you do have to realize that if they want to destroy their lungs, then it’s their body and they have a right to choose.
The only way you’ll get them to quit is to change their minds about it, which will be hard to do since nicotine is the most addictive substance on earth and many people would rather pick their death than die at 83 with massive kidney failure and heart disease.
By the way, if you eat fast food you should stop. Number one killer of people worldwide is heart disease, not lung cancer. If you’re eating fast food but on their case about smoking maybe you should take the first step and quit doing the only thing that kills more people than cigarettes.
