In almost everything in this wide world, the young generation is advised to follow the wit of the old. But why do we do the exact contrary? This is obviously debatable since its natural process to be young and rebellious. Take your time one of the coming days and stand close to a group of young men especially, and will be infuriated by their lack of self worth. You are likely to hear them utter words like ‘buddy can I have a puff, I am so broke today!’ and the discussion will continue with all sort of dirty language they are used to none talks about ‘quit smoking cigarette’ topic.
The next thing you are likely to hear is about a particular club at a particular site in the city that is so full of hot women and beer. One is likely to wonder whether the modern parenting is the problem or what now?They say that the youth is the future of a country or the world, a statement that brings a lot of incongruity with the youth reality. The rules have changed, both men and women smokes for the same reasons of coping with modern life stress.
Take for instance a young woman who is a chain smoker, the society has all sort of expectations for her to be a responsible mother in future with childbearing. But then what happens when she smokes to prove the power of her feminine nature only to give birth to an underweight baby? Does she even try to quite smoking as a way to look beyond that puff that makes her the untouchable skirt -wearer in town? Will she still be nagging when catch that deadly breast cancer? I bet not, but only resentment will kill her first.
The truth is that cigarette smoking is harmful to any victim no matter the gender. It seems even those who smoke are blinded by that ‘puff thing’ such that they don’t take time to read the warning statement written on the packet. Its very possible to stop/ quit smoking cigarettes. One only needs to give his life reason and direction. Love to prolong your life because this will allow you to spend more time with your loved ones.
Just imagine you are a parent and you are about to die of that cancer on you left lung, you have gone through several stages of chemotherapy and radiotherapy to suppress the malignant cancer cell from spreading, each time enduring extreme pain that comes with it.
What is more is the sadness in their faces the beloved ones, when your doctor breaks the news that it is too late to save you and you’ve got a few days to live. Why would anyone with capacity to think clearly be stubborn to ask for a puff? No matter what arguments different people hold, a puff day in day out is harmful, don’t wait until you build a house, buy an elegant sports car, win that air ticket to wonder land, to consider quitting smoking habit, instead learn other stress coping skills that are only natural.
Please don’t worsen your chance of getting tuberculosis, visit any college today and you will understand what I’m talking about since almost every young man has a strange loud cough just because of that puff. Any way life is a priveledge and if you choose to end yours soon, continue being stubborn but if you want to prolong yours seek help immediately to any of the rehabilitation centre or special campaigns that aim at cubing this problem.

Well, google “smoking benefits” and there are a couple pages. Apparently smoking is associated with lowered risks of Parkinsons and Alzheimers and certain types of cancer. Nicotine can be therapeutic for schizophrenia. And of course, there are the immediate benefits of smoking, which are the reasons people do it: pleasure, mental stimulation / mood lift, weight loss / maintaining a lower weight.
