Open-Minded University?
I’m looking for a school to transfer to from the dreadful community college I’m currently attending in LA and while I had my sights set on UCLA I’d much rather sink my time and money into a school of tolerance and open-mindedness.
By that mean I mean a school that doesn’t have an extreme Liberal bent or intolerant smoking restrictions. Every school I’ve looked at seems to ban smoking on their campus or have discriminative smoking sections which should that be the case I ought just settle with UCLA or Pepperdine but would really like to find an open-minded school and especially one outside of the Left-wing hate state of CA.
Any ideas?
(btw — I’m not a smoker myself but I do view college as being a learning experience of tolerance and experiencing new things and I just don’t believe a school that oppresses the smoking community, or any community for that matter, to be a good fit for what I am looking for.)
Actually, most of the smoking laws in place are regulated by the state, not the university. But if you want to get away from ‘left-wing hate’ (strong word from someone apparently preaching tolerance?), don’t bother with college. Education itself makes you more liberal – by making you think about new ideas, teaching you to think critically about the ideas you hold, and meet people who aren’t exactly like you. If that’s not what you want from your education, try Liberty University. But don’t expect your credits to transfer.
