i asked this question earlier today but nobody really answered the direct question ” if i completely quit now will i harm my baby?” i just don’t wanna do my baby more harm than good but i will quit now with no problem.
i am 30 weeks pregnant and i have been smoking weed my whole pregnancy, I spoke to my doctor about it from the beginning and she said that i shouldn’t stop because it might send the baby into shock or cause stress. and I personally didn’t stop cause i needed it to help with sleeping ,eating and nausea, but now im so far along and attached to my baby that i just want her to be ok. So my question is if i quit so late in my pregnancy will it cause more harm to her than good. I just wanna do whats best for her. So far she is right on track she weighs 3 lbs, she is in the 47th percentile, and she tested negative for all birth defects, please don’t judge me i really love my baby and wanna do whats best for her thanks in advance for answering

I truly don’t think your doctor would tell you to continue smoking weed because your baby would go into shock.
I smoked a lot before I got pregnant with my daughter and the doctors told me to stop right away.
Smoking weed actually causes more stress and eating and sleeping problems. You are dependent on it.
Just go ahead and stop. Your baby is not going to die.
Just to let you know they have found more recent studies showing that mothers who smoke marijuana during pregnancies have children who have more problems in school. But there are not noticed problems at birth.
Although you can get your baby taken away from you depending on the state that you live in if your placenta tests positive for drugs.

p.s. the woman above is right. DO NOT SMOKE MARIJUANA and breast feed. it goes into the breast milk and can cause breathing problems.

Just wondering how many people gave up smoking during pregnancy and then took it up again?

I gave up as soon as i found out i was pregnant then started again when my son was about 9 months old. We are trying for our 2nd baby and i will not smoke again through pregnancy and hopefully won’t start again this time.
