What about drinking wine and smoking during pregnancy?
Hi, I have 8 weeks of pregnancy. I'm smoking about 2 cigarettes a day and drink a glass of wine every other night. I'm from Europe, where everythign is a bit more relaxed … I did some internet research and opinions run the gamur when about smoking and drinking. What are your thoughts? I was pregnant a couple months ago and it didn't work, my doc said it was nothing I did and if I get drunk all nights that is why I have not lost the fetus (or the fact that we still ride my scooter to work every day) … Your opinions are appreciated. I know I will have plenty of comments from people who say NO DRINKING IS NOT ALWAYS smoking during pregnancy, but I'd like to hear from people who were a little more relaxed and how their babies out.
Like almost anything in the world of medicine is a matter of statistics. Much smoking or drinking too much has been shown to increase the risk of abortions involuntary or birth defects.
